About Customs duty and VAT: Get ready for 2021

2021 is shaping up to be a busy time in the world of VAT and Customs Duty. The Brexit transition will take effect on 1 January and will affect anyone that is making or receiving goods and supplies from the EU.  On 1 March the domestic reverse charge will change the way that the construction sector accounts for VAT and at the same time we expect to see the country facing up to the financial reality of the recent COVID measures. Changes to the customs obligations will undoubtedly impact many EU supply chains with a ‘ripple effect’ that may also extend to some global supply chains.

In this presentation we will summarise the Customs Duty and VAT issues that will impact in 2021, the options available and the actions that should be considered.
