Tees Valley Businesses’ Skills for Growth project is a fully funded resource for Tees Valley SME’s, part funded by the European Social Fund. Working in partnership with Teesside University, Skills for Growth have launched a one-day workshop on Microsoft’s data and analytics reporting tool, Power BI.
Power BI is a unified, scalable platform for self-service and enterprise business intelligence. So, what does this mean for me? Data Analytics and Data Visualisation enables us to investigate large amounts of data to make business forecasts, take informed decisions and present complex, multi-dimensional datasets in a form that is engaging and easy to understand. The tool is used to bring different data sets together into a consolidated reporting dashboard helping you to uncover powerful insights and translate them into positive impacts. This will allow individuals within the business to visualise, report and share data insights helping them to confidently make decisions and reinforce future plans.
In this one-day workshop, you will explore the main features of Power BI to design data analytics applications to meet business needs. You will investigate different types of charts to get data insights using Power BI reports and make informed business decisions.
Wednesday 8th March, 10am – 4pm, Room CL1.88 (Clarendon Building) Teesside University School of Computing, Engineering & Digital Technologies, Campus Heart, Southfield Rd, Middlesbrough TS1 3BX.
