About Tees Valley Education & Training Provider Skills Meetup

Are you providing the right skills support to help Tees Valley businesses grow sustainably in a world with rapidly changing skills requirements? Or are skills shortages stopping your own business from reaching its full potential?

Join this FREE sector skills meetup for post-16 education and training providers, led by Tees Valley Combined Authority’s Skills for Growth team and Teesside University.

Why Join?

You’ll hear from a panel of Education and Training Providers from across the Tees Valley including representatives from Teesside University, Hartlepool College and Learning Curve Group.

Be part of the discussion on how you as providers are managing your in-house professional development and how you are supporting the wider Tees Valley business community with their skills gaps and training needs. Our speakers cover a broad range of the education sector including further education, universities, apprenticeships, and private training providers. They come from diverse business backgrounds and hold first-hand experience in assisting and supporting businesses in their respective fields.

Hear from the Skills for Growth team and get expert insights and the latest information on the Education sector whilst supporting Tees Valley businesses by bridging the skills gaps and training needs required for the future.

If you are an SME business operating in the Tees Valley, you’ll also discover how to tap into the funding and consultancy support available locally to help you get the right people, skills, and tools in place to help your business grow.

You have the opportunity to be part of the conversation and share your experiences on how skills shortages are affecting productivity or preventing growth for Tees Valley businesses and look at what is needed to help us collectively shape future skills and training provision.

Who You’ll Hear From:

About Skills for Growth

Led by Tees Valley Business, Skills for Growth is a fully funded resource for Tees Valley SMEs, part funded by the European Social Fund. It offers free and impartial advice and guidance to support employers to upskill their existing workforce by identifying their current and future skills gaps and training needs, and by acting as a brokerage service to the training provider network.

Working in partnership with Teesside University, the project is also taking a proactive research approach to help shape and inform future training and development provision for SME’s across the Tees Valley and sharing this information via a series of business sector events, including this one.
