The Tees Valley Innovation Accelerator (TIA) are holding a workshop for Tees Valley SMEs dedicated to the topic of intellectual property and patents.

Of course, it is important for SMEs to understand and manage the practical aspects of patents and invention management in order to protect innovation, research and products.

This workshop will cover practical aspects of intellectual property and patents management including the application process and how to search, interpret and licence patents along with how enforcement works.

This in-person event will be presented by TWI’s Intellectual Property Manager, Dan Lord on 11 October 2022 at TWI, Ferrous Road, Riverside Park, Middlesbrough, TS2 1DJ, UK

Based in Sheffield, Dan has nearly 20 years of hands-on experience of dealing with the intellectual property of TWI, an internationally-focused research and technology organisation that works with a wide range of industries, including some of the biggest names in aerospace, automotive, power generation, medical, and more.

Dan’s experience covers the capture, protection, licensing and enforcement of a portfolio of diverse technologies, and is now also providing support, advice and workshops related to intellectual property and patenting matters.
