Who you will hear from

CITB

CITB is the industry training board for the construction sector. It’s our job to help the construction industry attract talent and to support skills development to build a better Britain.

CITB grants support employers who provide day to day training for their workforce, contributing to the cost of training and qualifying your workforce in construction-related subjects.

You can chat to an advisor about your skills and training needs, explore grants; funding; support and guidance available to you and find out how to advertise your vacancies.

 

DigitalCity

Digital technology is transforming the way businesses like yours operate.

The DigitalCity team are experts who can help you explore how digital can help you to become more productive and profitable and ultimately ready for the digital future.

This service helps you explore where digital can have the most impact within your business. Bespoke fully funded consultancy projects have a value of up to £3,000 and are conducted by seasoned experts who have significant experience of running their own businesses, as well as implementing and embedding digital methods. From business models and operational processes to customer experiences our consultancy support always puts you and your needs first.

(DigitalCity is an ERDF funded, Teesside University-led initiative, supporting tech start-ups, SME’s and local businesses in the Tees Valley region).

 

 

Skills for Growth Project – Tees Valley Business and Teesside University

Tees Valley Business is the local growth hub for the Tees Valley, established by the Tees Valley Combined Authority and Tees Valley Mayor to support local SMEs with expert advice, support, and access to finance and funding.

Supported by the European Social Fund, the Tees Valley Collaborative Skills Development Partnership (Skills for Growth) is a fully funded resource for Tees Valley SMEs. It offers free and impartial advice and guidance to support employers to upskill their existing workforce by identifying their current and future skills gaps and training needs, and by acting as a brokerage service to the training provider network.

The Skills for Growth team is helping businesses build confident teams, boost productivity, and improve their competitive position.

Working in partnership with Teesside University, the Skills for Growth Project is also taking a proactive research approach to help shape and inform future training and development provision for SME’s across the Tees Valley and sharing this information via a series of business sector events.
